You can bike around Lake Balaton on the Bike Route (210 km long). It makes you an unforgettable joy for your life. You will bike mainly on the Bike Route what runs sometimes on small roads with little traffic.

Leaving Balatonfüred in direction to Budapest you will pass beautiful villages (Csopak, Alsőörs) and arrive in Balatonalmádi. From there leads on a well built bike way through the vineyards and Szentkirályszabadja to Veszprém. This tour passes along many charming villages on Veszprém Highland. Veszprém, the city of the queens, is the capitol of the region with plenty of historic monuments. Leaving Veszprém and cycling back, you will follow the former rails of an old railway line. From Balatonalmádi the way to Felsőörs is an ancient roman road.

Leaving Balatonfüred in direction to Keszthely, you will soon arrive in Tihany. Although there isn't a real bike route on the Tihany Peninsula, you will be pleased to make a short trip on the peninsula visiting wonderful natural and architectural spectacels. Onwards the Bike Route you will admire the natural beauty of the Balaton Highland National Park, the Káli Basin, Badacsony, Szigliget and Keszthely.
